Steiner Estate Winery

The winery boasts a rich history, dating back centuries
before its restoration in 1998. Local tradition honors
Rabbi Reb Shayale, who generously provided food
to the region’s winemakers, embodying the spirit
of kindness that still defines the estate. Situated in
the heart of Bodrogkeresztúr village, the beautifully
restored winery and 18th-century Steiner mansion are
part of a renowned pilgrimage site, home to the Kever
of Rabbi Reb Shayele Steiner.
Spanning 25 hectares across eleven prime vineyard
locations in Bodrogkeresztúr, the estate is dedicated
to uncovering the unique potential of its land through
single-vineyard wines. The Steiner estate produces
elegant selections, including single-vineyard wines,
late harvest, and Aszú wines. Additionally, Fülöp the
Phenomenon, inspired by Bodrogkeresztúr’s white
stork, represents the estate’s second label with a dry
wine and a late harvest variety.
